Juan Berrocal: We must secure the three points no matter what

The Eibar player stated that “we need to all stick together and be more united than ever”.

Juan Berrocal has stated in a press conference that now is a time when “we need to all stick together and be more united than ever”. Looking ahead to the clash with Sporting Gijón, the Eibar player also praised the fans and said that “we need them more than ever during the bad times and we know they’ll be there with us”.

During the press conference, which was held following Wednesday’s training session at Ipurua, Berrocal added that “we’re approaching this next game in the best possible way and we must secure the three points no matter what”.

ON THE NEXT MATCH VS SPORTING

“It's going to be a difficult game. Both the games we have left will be. We’re facing teams that have practically finished what they’re playing for and who are coming to play without fear. We're going to approach this next game in the best possible way and we must secure the three points no matter what.”

“We have to go game by game to first take these three points and then go for the next one. Whoever gets the best results in these two games will be the team that takes the prize.”

ON THE IMPORTANCE OF THE MATCH

“All the games we're playing are finals. You try to win every game, but it's true that, as things stand, you have to view it as a final and try to secure the three points and wait.”

“It’s a very long season. Until the last minute of the final game, you don't know how it's going to end and you have to believe.”

ON DOING THE MATHS

“I've never been one to make calculations and I think it's a mistake. The most important thing is the day-to-day work, training well and then, when the day of the match arrives, giving our best to try to win.”

ON THE SUPPORT FROM THE FANS

“We have to go out on the front foot, and we need the fans. The other day in Santander was amazing and we need to all stick together and be more united than ever. We need them more than ever during the bad times and we know they’ll be there with us.”

ON THE SQUAD’S CONDITION

“We are at one hundred per cent. The team has recovered well and we understand the importance of the Sporting game. Mentally, we have to be stronger and more united than ever to face these challenges.”

ON GETTING BACK TO WINNING WAYS

“For the fans and for us, we want to give them that victory. We work every day and we deserve it. We want to win this game, win the next one and dream.”

ON REACHING THE FINAL STRAIGHT

“We have to face these bad moments with the peace of mind that we are doing things right. There are many things to improve, otherwise we wouldn't be losing games, but we know that we are doing things well and we are also unlucky at certain times. We have to continue to work hard and move forward."

ON SPORTING GIJÓN

“They are a tough team. They didn't start the season well, but now they are achieving very good results. They are a team who have practically achieved their objective and they will come here to enjoy the game and try to win the three points, but with less pressure than us.”

ON HAVING BELIEF

“We feel we can do it, one hundred percent. We are confident, the team is working well, we are all pulling in the same direction and we have to believe.”
