Joseba Etxeberria: "Oviedo are going to demand our best from us, but if Eibar are in good shape, we can win at any ground"

The Eibar coach demands the team to "be ourselves, to play the game we want to play and to go for the game with the courage to go for it"

Joseba Etxeberria stated that Oviedo "are going to demand our best from us", but "if Eibar are in good shape, they can win at any ground".

Speaking at the press conference ahead of Sunday's clash against Real Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere, the Armeros' coach urged the team to "give our best, to be ourselves, to play the game we want to play and to go for the game with the courage to do so".

JOSEBA ETXEBERRIA’S PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES

“It’s going to be a hard game. We know that Oviedo are a good team, who started with difficulties and changed their coach with a different style of play, but we know that they will demand our best from us.”

“If Eibar are in good shape, we can win at any ground. They are confident, but so are we.”

“It’s about having balance and not changing our game too much at home or away. We are comfortable in front of our fans at Ipurua, especially in bad moments when you feel the push of the fans. But we want people to be able to recognise us at home or away.”

“I think we are two teams who try to control the game and possession, in this aspect, we’ll see who controls more of the ball. Beyond that, what’s important is to generate chances.”

“We want the ball to create danger, not to add up passes. Sometimes you need to do that to progress, but Oviedo will demand from us that we are good because they will press and pass well themselves to try to get behind us.”

“With the equality in this division, starting the game winning or losing will impact the dynamics of the game a lot.”

“Rivals are struggling to create chances because normally this Oviedo controls the game, we want to try and change that. We will have to be clinical and make an impact every time we have the ball. When we get close to the box, we have that feeling that we can score.”
