Charles: I really enjoyed my time at Málaga, it'll be a special day for me
Monday sees the Armeros' hitman return to the club where he spent the past two seasons
Speaking at the club's Atxabalpe training ground, SD Eibar forward Charles Dias de Oliveira, who spent the past two years at Málaga CF, declared that Monday's trip to La Rosaleda represents a "special" occasion, before admitting to have "really enjoyed my time at Málaga".
"It's always special when you come up against one of your former teams. We head to La Rosaleda, it's a ground at which I really enjoyed my time and it's always special to be going back. It'll be a special day as I face my former teammates and see the fans".
"I think that I'll get a good reception. I've not done anything wrong and I believe that I did pretty well in the two years that I was there".
In terms of Eibar's pre-season campaign, the Brazilian referred to the team's preparations as having been "pretty good". "We've played quite a number of games against strong opposition and I think that we've performed to the standard that the gaffer was expecting".
"That was all a just a warm-up, what really matters starts on Monday, which is when we have to be firing on all cylinders and there'll be no margin for error. The team heads into the game in really fine shape. We're without some key players but we're looking very good ahead of the start of the LaLiga season. The important thing is that we give a good account of ourselves and achieve our target, which is to win the game, or at least come away unbeaten".
