SD Eibar and the player Manuel Castellano, known as Lillo, agree to terminate the contract between them.
At a press conference this morning the player said an emotional goodbye, accompanied by directors, club staff and supporters.
Manuel Castellano Castro, “Lillo”, came to Eibar in 2013 when the team had recently been promoted to the second division. Coached by Gaizka Garitano, the player from Aspe (Alicante) became strong, earning a place in the starting eleven. In total he played 29 times and is considered by the fans and by the club to have been a key element in securing the longed-for promotion to the First Division.
SD Eibar wishes to thank him for his effort, work and tenacity – values that have characterised the player. None of the members of the Board of Directors, club staff, coaching staff and teammates will forget his personality, which has led to Lillo being considered as “one of ours”, an eibarrés (son of Eibar) and Ipurua will always be his home.
Thanks Lillo!! We wish you a great future!!
