Pre-season gets up and running for the Under-17s

Yesterday saw a much-changed SD Eibar Under-17s begin their pre-season preparations, as the new-look squad and coaching staff came together for their first training session. The main aim of the season, in addition to battling for promotion, will be to develop the squad so that they are ready to take their places in the Juvenil División de Honor Nacional in one or two years' time.

The squad will be led by the new management team of Iñigo Pérez and Iñigo Retegi. Pérez represented the club's youth sides, whilst Retegi featured for the first team, making his debut in 2006.

Goalkeepers: Asier Salgado 2000 (Cadete Vasca) and Jon Beristain 2000 (Elgoibar).

Defenders: Iñigo Gaztelu 2000 (Cadete Vasca), Jorge Lahidalga 2000 (Cadete Vasca), Danel Agirre 1999 (Juvenil B), Julen Berrueta 2000 (Cultural), Mikel Morcillo 2000 (Elgoibar) and Guillermo Unuzeta 2001 (Cadete Vasca).

Midfielders: Adrián Tejada 2000 (Cadete Vasca), Telmo Lizundia 2000 (Cadete Vasca), Lur Bereziartua 1999 (Juvenil B), Andrés Rubio 2000 (Cadete Vasca), Pablo Santiago 2000 (Cadete Vasca), Thiago Santana 2000 (Cadete Vasca) and Mikel Izagirre 2000 (Abadiño).

Forwards: Joanes Calvo 1999 (Anaitasuna), Julen Guilló 2000 (Cadete Vasca) and Alberto Medina 2000 (Beasain).

In addition to these squad members, there will be players who will move between the club's Juvenil División Honor Nacional side and the Under-17s for both training sessions and matches.
