Cristian Gutiérrez: Since I found out I could come to Eibar, I didn't have to think about it

Cristian Gutiérrez has been presented as a new Eibar player. In his press conference, the youngster admitted he “didn’t need to think about” becoming an Armero.

Accompanied by the sporting director of SD Eibar, César Palacios, Cristian Gutiérrez has said he was convinced by the “ambitious project” put forward by the club.

“The truth is, from the first moment that they told me that there was a possibility of joining Eibar, I didn’t need to think about it,” said Eibar’s new versatile winger.

“It’s an ambitious project and I wanted to be a part of it.”

Speaking about what he can offer, Gutiérrez added: “I can play as a full-back or a winger, and I will play wherever they put me.”

Gutiérrez met his new teammates during his first training session on Tuesday, and he was given a warm welcome.

He added: “I met everyone today and they gave me a very good welcome. Everyone is relaxed but they are as committed as I am.”
