A get-together between two sets of exemplary supporters & a special invite for a pair of Leganés fans

It had been years since their paths had crossed, but Sunday was the day and Ipurua the setting as the Armeros' fans played host to their counterparts from Leganés. The SD Eibar Federation of International Supporters' Groups certainly proved to be excellent hosts, offering a fine lunch and coffee, before proceeding to present the Leganés Federation of Supporters' Groups with their institutional gifts.

The gathering was attended by a number of representatives of both clubs' fan bases. Meanwhile, the president of the Eibar Federation of Supporters' Groups extended a warm welcome and sought to thank the attendees: "We're looking to mirror you, we want to be recognised as boasting exemplary supporters, just like you do". After presenting a carved butt featuring the club's badge, Eibar president Amaia Gorostiza declared, "This is your home, let's hope that we get to see each other for many years to come in Primera División and that our fans continue to get along as well as they have done up until now".

In addition to hosting the supporters' clubs, SD Eibar had organised a competition on its social media channels which offered Leganés fans the chance to attend the Ipurua clash and see the two sides once again lock horns. The contest winners, a father and son who follow Leganés, told SD Eibar TV all about their adventure and after their special weekend experience, the pair will hold a special affinity for the blue and scarlet of Eibar.

Both the Federation of International Supporters' Groups and the club are working hard to stage further events between now and the end of the season in a bid to strengthen the ties between supporters and promote a good atmosphere in the stands at Ipurua.
